I'm using a Canon MX300 under Windows XP SP3 and the scanner has
stopped working. Canon tech support is useless. The problem is when I
try to scan I get the following message:

The scanner driver supported by this software is not installed.
Install it and then retry.

I've been using this printer/scanner for about 3 years on the same
computer and it has worked fine until recently. It does print, but it
will not scan. I tried uninstalling all the software and then
reinstalling it from the CD that came with the printer. I get the same
error message. I tried to update the drivers and get the same error
message.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.
