Epson Perfection 2450 Photo Scanner Lost Install cd-rom

My son has lent me this scanner to scan several hundred 35mm
Transparancies, the only problem is the he has lost the Epson Install
Cd-rom.
I have tried down loading the files from the Epson site, infact
www.epson.co.uk was quite a good site, Epson Australia put me onto it.
I also wore Google out with my searches. I have not been able to get
the Film/slide part to work properly, I did find how to select "Film"
etc but the software kept closing down unexpectantly.
I purchased a product by Newsoft Europe GmbH.

It was for Smart Panel 3.6/English/ESD/upgrade (PC).
This seems to work with Win-XP but I am unable to get the "Film" part
to function.
Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

Are you sure your scanner lid is fully connected? Common problem. Fully
unplug it and then replug it. Don't just wiggle it. Unplug it.
